Some Important Dates for your Diary

In case they are not already pencilled into your August schedule there are two important dates in the Club's calendar coming up in the next few weeks, First of all there is the annual Men v Ladies match the usual hotly contested battle for bragging rights for the next 12 months. The game this year is on Sunday August 16th at 2pm and there is a sheet in the clubhouse if you want to sign up.The Men won narrowly last year so there is plenty of incentive for both sides to win. The other event is the even more hotly contested and increasingly celebrated Wistow Vase. Played about this time every year against local rivals Kibworth it is an enormusly popular fixture played home and away over to weeks with the overall score across both matches deciding the eventual winners, As I said it is popular so get you names down in the clubhouse soon if you want to be involved because Kibworth are the current holders and we want it back.The games take place on Wednesday August 19th at Kibworth with the return fixture at Fleckney on Wednesday 16th. Its an early start at 5.15pm for both games.
