Hart of Fleckney regain The Wistow Vase

The second and concluding leg of the the annual Wistow Vase match between Fleckney and local rivals Kibworth was played at Fleckney on Wednesday 2nd September. Fleckney had taken a surprisingly significant lead after the first leg aganst a strong Kibworth team who were at home and although Kibworth managed to claw back some of the deficit on the return, winning the match, but not by enough to change the result so Fleckney regained the trophy and bragging rights for the next 12 months. Once again the match was a fine example of community sport with two fiercely contested games but played in a good spirit and with a drink together at the end. We'll do it all again next year.
