The very popular Monday League, an internal competition amongst Club members concluded for this year on Monday 7th September with the final of the Milner Cup. The Cup was won by Team D captained by John Rhodes, runners up were John Pearce's Team A. The league competition had concluded 2 weeks earlier after a very close season long contest with Team A winning by a single point from Team B, in the final game of the season. The competitions have once again provided the opportunity for many members who prefer not to or are unable to play in our teams in local leagues to experience competitive bowling as well as providing valuable match practice for everyone. It also provided plenty of sociability in the bar afterwards.Well done to everyone involved and particularly to Stuart Jordan who has the unenviable task of organising the league.
